In addition to spring recital, APA has performance groups for special concerts and programs.

2023 requirements

• Francis Performing Arts Company (FPACo -  For serious dancers who choose to make dance a priority activity.  Level 6 advanced technique ability - taking 2 ballet, 1 jazz  + additional jazz/modern/lyrical + 5th technique class  (tap, pointe or previously listed) at APA (or approved class at college). Working on triple pirouette, solid double, good turns in second, R, L, center leaps, calypso, tilt jumps, ability to pick up choreography fast, attention to detail, additional skills are bonus; Dance trip (Chicago or NYC).
• Francis Company 2 – or FPACo 2 – Level 4 + up intermediate and above technique
  ability – taking ballet, jazz  +  a 3rd technique class  (tap or previously listed) at APA. Includes level 5 & 6 dancers who do not meet all requirements for FPACo.  Working on triple pirouette, solid double, working on turns in second, R, L, center leaps, calypso, tilt jumps, ability to pick up choreography fast, additional skills are bonus.
• Junior Francis Company – or Jr FPACo – Level 3-4 intermediate technique ability –  taking ballet, jazz  +  a 3rd technique class  (tap or previously listed) at APA. Solid single pirouette, working on doubles, R, L, center leaps, additional skills are bonus.
• Participation to be approved by Director.
• Summer Dance Fest:   Attend all ballet and jazz classes at their level as well as at least 2 additional technique classes during APA Summer Dance Fest this summer or other camp approved by APA. Attendance is mandatory if Company involvement is considered, but students make final commitment at August meeting.
• Attend mandatory Parent & Student Commitment Meeting in August/September.
• Attend weekly rehearsal period with no more than 3 absences per year, plus any agreed upon extra rehearsal periods scheduled for special events. Keep same excellent attendance in technique classes. More than 3 absences will result in review of participation and FPACo  membership.
• Participate in area school presentations.
• Work with the team as cooperative member at all times!​
